Fall into Lean Coffee with the Portland Metro IIBA Chapter! Fall is here and we'd like to talk about what you want to talk about! Bring any topics you would like to share or learn more about. We will use Miro for our board. This event requires everyone to participate.
What is Lean Coffee?
Lean Coffee is a structured but informal way to have group discussions without a set agenda. At the start, everyone suggests topics they’d like to talk about. The group then votes on which ideas are most interesting or important, and those become the focus of the conversation.
We’ll start with the top-voted topic, discuss it for a short, time-boxed period, and then decide together whether to keep going or move on. This keeps the discussion focused and ensures everyone’s time is spent on what matters most.
Lean Coffee is a great way to share ideas, ask questions, and learn from others in a collaborative and engaging format. All you need to bring is your curiosity and willingness to join the conversation!

Scott Helmers will help you transform data analytics with Visio and Power BI.
Power BI reports help you tell great stories by making your organization’s data visible and real. Visio
diagrams help you communicate more effectively by providing visual representations of the real world
and by depicting how things might look in the future. Too often, however, Power BI reports and Visio
diagrams exist in isolation. What if you could combine the data connectivity and visualizations of Power
BI (PBI) with the graphical context of a Visio diagram?
In this demo-filled session you’ll see a variety of use cases such as: empowering facility managers with
data-driven floor plans; using HR data and an org chart to locate employees with specific skills or
training; and leveraging inventory and sales data to adjust retail store layout. You’ll discover how easy it
is to accomplish all of this using a web browser, which means you can create this magic on a Mac, a PC,
or a tablet.
