Join us virtually for our November IIBA Portland Metro Chapter Event, co-hosted with Western Region Chapters!
Presentation:
Business analysis is inherently a leadership role. True leadership in business analysis isn’t defined by a job title; it is defined by the ability to influence change, facilitate alignment, and steer strategic outcomes without formal authority. As business environments become more complex and data-driven, BAs must step up as trusted advisors. In this session you will learn how to lead without authority, using proven tools and techniques. You will learn to leverage everyday BA competencies to drive organizational transformation and build strong stakeholder buy-in.
Presenter:
Gabe Vaught is a senior Business Systems Analyst and Product Owner with almost 16 years of business analysis experience in the logistics, finance, apparel and public utilities industries and roughly 27 in the IT industry at large. He graduated from the University of Portland with a BS in Operations and Technology Management and his projects have focused or relied heavily on data modeling, analytics, statistical process analysis, supply chain and project management. Gabe also applies his analytical background to a 25-year career in the US Army Reserves. While being an IIBA member, Gabe is pursuing obtaining his CBAP certification. In his free time, he is a passionate Outrigger Canoe paddler and sits on the boards of several non-profit organizations.
