6:30 PM - 7:30 PM UTC-06:00
The Portland Metro IIBA is co-hosting the the Saskatchewan Chapter's event. You will be directed to the host chapter site to register. In a world defined by VUCA—volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity—it’s easy to accept chaos as the norm. This webinar challenges that mindset with a bold, contrarian perspective: what if you didn’t just endure VUCA, but actively tackled it? Explore the cultural traits, practical tools, and disciplined habits that distinguish reactive environments from truly elegant ones. With clear language and a no-nonsense approach, this session empowers you to choose your path—whether that’s embracing the turbulence, striving for Elegance, or finding your balance in between. View

2026-11-18 19:00:00Z Nov 18, 2026 The AI-Ready Enterprise: Beyond Tools to True Business Readiness by Sid Arya Nov 18, 2026
7:00 PM - 8:00 PM UTC-06:00
The Portland Metro IIBA is co-hosting the Saskatchewan Chapter's event. You will be directed to the host chapter site to register. Most organizations today are rapidly adopting AI. Copilots are being embedded into workflows, predictive analytics are expanding across functions, and generative AI tools are becoming commonplace. On the surface, it appears that enterprises are becoming AI-enabled. But beneath this activity lies a critical gap: AI adoption is not the same as AI readiness. In this session, explore what it truly means to become an AI-ready enterprise. Moving beyond tools and pilots, we examine the foundations that determine whether AI can consistently deliver trusted, scalable, and measurable business outcomes. An AI-ready organization is not defined by the number of models deployed, but by its ability to align data, business context, governance, and decision-making into a cohesive system that enables confident, enterprise-wide action. 2026-12-17 18:00:00Z Dec 17, 2026 Visualizing data in context for a theme park operator: A Visio Power BI Case Study by Scott A. Helmers Dec 17, 2026
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM UTC-06:00
The Portland Metro IIBA is co-hosting the Saskatchewan Chapter's event. You will be directed to the host chapter site to register. Join us in this session to discover how adding context can transform your data visualizations from simple charts into powerful decision-making tools. Learn how integrating Visio diagrams with Power BI—such as floor plans, network diagrams, and process maps—can bring your data to life and enable faster, more informed actions. Through live demonstrations, you’ll see how contextual, visual insights can enhance productivity, support frontline teams, and deliver greater value from your dashboards. The key to successful data visualization is context. A collection of charts and graphs on a BI dashboard is great, but without context you’re likely to miss key insights. For example, the red bars on a hospital’s environmental monitoring dashboard may alert you that a problem exists, but when you can click the red bars and see the exact location of the problem on a floor plan, you can formulate an immediate response. Similarly, when a dashboard includes a network diagram that shows real-time server status and you can click a failed server to see the data required to initiate a fix, you’re two steps ahead. How do you achieve this level of insight? There’s no better way to add context than to enhance Power BI reports with floor plans, network diagrams, process maps, or org charts created in Visio. This session features multiple live demos of Visio/Power BI integration from a customer project. Their goal was to provide frontline workers using Microsoft Teams with easy access to visualizations in Power BI. You may not manage theme parks for a living, but you and your colleagues probably do need to visualize data more effectively. View
