Chapter Officers | IIBA® Portland Metro Chapter
Portland Metro Chapter of the IIBA is made up of 5 officers, President, VP of Marketing & Communications, VP of Professional Development, Secretary & Treasurer. Each officer serves a 2 year term with staggered positions coming up for election every year.
President
Amy Lake
Amy has over 25 years of experience in business analysis, project management, and process improvement across the federal, energy, and tech sectors. She has worked with organizations ranging from Fortune 500 companies to federal agencies and consulting firms, leading cross-functional initiatives that drive efficiency, collaboration, and strategic outcomes. Amy is a longtime member of the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) and currently serves as President of the IIBA Portland Metro Chapter. She is passionate about elevating the role of the Business Analyst and building a strong, engaged professional community. In her spare time, Amy enjoys paddle boarding, gardening, and spending time with her dogs.
Secretary
Gabe Vaught
Gabe Vaught is a senior Business Systems Analyst and Product Owner with almost 16 years of business analysis experience in the logistics, finance, apparel and public utilities industries and roughly 27 in the IT industry at large. He graduated from the University of Portland with a BS in Operations and Technology Management and his projects have focused or relied heavily on data modeling, analytics, statistical process analysis, supply chain and project management. Gabe also applies his analytical background to a 25-year career in the US Army Reserves. While being an IIBA member, Gabe is pursuing obtaining his CBAP certification. In his free time, he is a passionate Outrigger Canoe paddler and sits on the boards of several non-profit organizations.
Treasurer
Linda Stroeber
Linda Stroeber has worked as a Business Analyst for over 20 years in information and online education industries and more currently the energy industry. Her experience includes database information management, stakeholder relations, writing requirements and testing, and workflow improvements. She has a MS in Library and Information Science and a Business Analysis certificate from PSU CEPE, as well as earning her IIBA-AAC certification.
She is passionate about detail in all things, including finances. In her first professional position, at a university library she managed all acquisitions of media and services with a $250,000 budget. Handling a personal budget for decades has reinforced her ability to keep accurate accounts of income and expenditures.
In 2019 she joined the IIBA to increase her knowledge of the profession and interact with like-minded individuals.

Jennifer Colburn

Jennifer Colburn has been practicing business analysis since before the turn of the millenium, working for many organizations including small startups, consulting firms and a Fortune 500 company, and spanning many industries. She lives in Portland, Oregon and is a member of the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) and is a Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP). Passionate about supporting the Business Analysis community, she has served as the VP of Communications and Marketing, the President and the Treasurer of the Portland Metro IIBA Chapter as well as on the Board of the Louisville IIBA Chapter and was a member of the IIBA Competency Model Committee. She enjoys speaking about the importance of the role of the Business Analyst and in her spare time enjoys traveling and hiking.

Vice President (VP) of Professional Development
Tim Edingfield
Tim Edingfield is a Senior Systems Consultant with an international SaaS agency and brings more than 10 years of experience in business systems analysis, process improvement, and technology consulting. His work has focused heavily on helping nonprofit organizations modernize operations, improve service delivery, and implement sustainable systems through business analysis, workflow transformation, and emerging AI-driven solutions. Tim graduated from Southern Oregon University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and also holds a Six Sigma Black Belt certification. His professional background includes nonprofit operations, dispute resolution centers, CRM and workflow system design, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
Tim is currently pursuing his CBAP certification through the International Institute of Business Analysis as well as additional AI certifications. Outside of his professional work, he volunteers locally with CASA and other grassroots organizations, where he remains passionate about advocacy and community impact.
